Tallinn Design Festival is not only bringing creative people closer to consumers, but also takes consumers to the hotspot designer workshops. Current tours give a special opportunity to see the wonderful inboard world of design. It is a good chance to get acquainted with our local fascinating designers and have nice and friendly conversations with them.
The Tallinn Design Festival not only consolidate and bring creative people closer to consumers, but takes consumers to the hotspot – designer`s workshops. We will go to the roots of design, wonderful world where fantasy seeds will be planted in the fruitful idea ground and where is always favorable tail wind and sun never sets. Let us find out is it really a promised land where commoner has no access. Behind the unique and high-quality design are fascinating people who use strange machines to produce their prototypes and originals. Working table is cluttered with bizarre and incomprehensible sketches, unprecedented material samples and at first sight seemingly illogical attribute, that in concluding reminds Mad Scientist Laboratory. All this fascinating equipment is meant to create inspiring environment and real products that in the end of the day will be available on store shelves and fashion our lives.
The Tallinn Design Festival has a dream to abolish borders between the designer and the consumer. The Tallinn Design Festival will bring them together and introduce them to each other. Current tours give a special opportunity to gaze at the kitchen of creative enterprises, become more aware about our local fascinating designers and how are developed the very same products that we are able to buy from the shops or order custom-made.
Routes start at the festival information spot in Kultuurikatel, Põhja pst 27a.
The visited enterprises during the days will vary.
Tours last approximately 3 h on both days.
The participants will be carried with comfortable bus.

Iglusauna
Iglusaunas are outdoor saunas with a unique shape. Besides the intriguing design on the surface also the steam is really different because of the round shape. During our tour we have great chance to feel it on the spot. Don’t worry, no one will be forced to undress and whisk.

Bike-ID security marking kit
Deisgner Riho Muuga has created a tool for the company Bike-ID and that is meant to keep the bikes even more safe. Bike-ID has developed a free registry for bicycles and even an insurance system. Now there is also a product available. The solution is patent-pending and using best quality materials, e.g. the weatherproof and laser engraved sticker that is used also in army.

A design bureau is an intriguing place - a lot of different and insanely creative people working with all kinds of tasks that may be the design of table tennis, planning digital space, designing showroom-box for a fair or something in the field of graphic design. The company is lead by Margus Tammemäe and is divided between, yes, 12 categories! Margus and Ruutu Kuus has been awarded by Marketing Institute. The inspiring studio hidden in Ülemiste City will be a peculiar grande finale to our tour.
